Myself Dr. Ramandeep Singh, serving as Professor Business Management and Director, School of Business Studies (SBS) at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, Punjab. I am also serving as Principal Investigator of NIDHI-TBI, Department of science & Technology, GoI Research Project – Host institution: PAU
My Vision is to elevate agriculture into a thriving agribusiness sector through modern practices, digital tools, and entrepreneurial thinking. Since 1995, my team and I have worked to promote Progressive Farming and Agripreneurship, empowering farmers and rural communities across Punjab and India. We have mentored and uplifted individuals and organizations, including rural youth, farm women, progressive farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Agri-Commodity Associations, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, agri-business and management students, postgraduates, PhD scholars, field functionaries, faculty, staff, and administrators. Our goal is to help them build sustainable agri-enterprises and market-ready products through innovative strategies.
To broaden our impact, we use digital platforms extensively. We manage 17 WhatsApp groups, 8 Facebook groups/pages, and YouTube channel, connecting with a wide network of stakeholders. These platforms share key insights on modern farming methods, branding, labeling, packaging, pricing, market trends, and promotion, essential for making the farm-to-table concept a practical reality.
We particularly focus on empowering women and youth, helping them become agripreneurs and brand creators capable of exploring domestic and global markets. In today’s dynamic agricultural landscape, farmers must diversify income through digital marketing, value addition and entrepreneurship.
My vision is to build a vibrant, innovation-driven ecosystem where every farmer is not just a cultivator, but also an entrepreneur and a leader in the global agri-market.
Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Director School of Business Studies (PAU)
